City Splash, the ‘home of culture’ returns this year - marking its fourth year. It has undoubtedly become one of the leading UK festivals to experience. Holding 30,000 attendees, City Splash celebrates the impact of Caribbean and African culture within the UK and beyond, honouring up and coming talents with their audience. From the heritage of Dancehall to birth of Garage, expect to hear the sounds from your culture and prepare to be introduced to waves you may not be familiar with but shortly, will add to your playlist.

As Black Brits, the influence of Reggae, Dancehall and Afrobeats within our communities run deep. From the rhythms, dialects, language and more - these factors have immensely impacted youth culture and our everyday lives. With City Splash, this is acknowledged. The understanding of ‘the genres’ heartbeat rhythm and lyrics about love, redemption and natural living deeply affect fashions, lifestyles, friendships and unify strangers internationally.’ Proudly stated, they ‘believe such important genres, both musically and socially, deserve to be championed.’

Returning for another year, City Splash’s partnership with Black Eats LDN remains. The UK’s first and only Black-owned restaurant directory offers delicious food, African and Caribbean street traders and invites businesses to attend, and sell their services.

Now, let’s discuss this years line-up. From the legendary Beenie Man; dancehall princess Shenseaa, Ghana’s Black Sherif, UK’s very-own, Dankie Sounds and more are expected to perform. This isn’t one to miss.
