The BLK BRIT digital platform launched in 2020 which explores, inspires and documents modern Black Britain. We are committed to sharing our stories; providing authentic and truthful snapshots of Black British experiences, platforming creative and editorial content across culture, history, education, fashion, news, lifestyle and more.
how we started
2020
Founded this year, BLK BRIT serves as a positive platform to inspire, explore and document modern Black Britain through a range of mediums. This includes: interviews, community reviews, award shows highlights and community engagements.
2022
Launched Windrush: More than A Generation campaign. Supported by British Film Institute National Archive and Wray N Nephew. To celebrate and highlight the stories of those who were a part of this generation, we sat down with Glenda Caesar, a Windrush Campaigner and victim to capture her story.
2024
Through the success of our online interviews and articles, BLK BRIT has expanded to digital issues. In June, we launched our first - Sounds Of The Diaspora featuring Ayanna, Blue Lab Beats and DJ Edott.
