Welcome to Element City. Disney Pixar’s NEW animated movie ‘Elemental’ paints a classic love story between two unlikely pairs - where the realities of social class, generational expectations and ethnic groups challenges their new profound love. Kicking off the colourful and beautifully animated movie in a true Pixar fashion, Elemental introduces us to a modern city, resided by four natural elements: Land, Water, Fire and Air. Commonly experienced within society, ‘fire’ found themselves excluded from members of their community and therefore forced to reside in the fire area away from the main city. This quickly confirmed Pixar’s agenda - to portray a common but important storyline to all ages.

Unveiling leading character Ember, the fire resident is introduced as hot-tempered, family-oriented and hard working. She’s continuously seen attempting to make her parents (Dad in particular) proud. Taking on work at his ‘Fireplace’ store, managing her anger with hopes of taking over the store - after learning the struggles once faced by her parents. However, the ambitious young lady finds herself in a predicament that threatens her parents to lose everything. But it doesn’t end there. Ember eventually develops a connection with Wade, a sentimental Water resident that questions everything she once believed in, opens her eyes to greater possibilities and realities that there are no limits to love. In a world where elements don’t mix, fire meets water and opposites really do attract.

Overall, Elemental exhibited love, laughter and definitely had us in our seats wanting more! We recommend everyone watching the movie as it’s in cinema’s on 7th July.
